What’s the MFI Product Packaging Requirement?

As we mentioned at last article, after pass the test of mfi products, we need to submit the packaging to Apple for review. Apple has lots of requirement on Packaging as well. Let’s see what the MFI product packaging requirement is, and you can identify mfi products through the packaging.

Below are the necessary contents need to be displayed on the packaging.

1. MFI for Apple Badges,

it may refer to Made for iPhone, iPad, iPod

2. Compatible models.

The packaging have to lists all the compatible models from newest to oldest. Below is the list of compatible models

3. Apple Credit terms.

Use of the Made for Apple badge means that an accessory has been designed to connect speci­cally to the Apple product(s) identi­ed in the badge, and has been certi­ed by the developer to meet Apple performance standards. Apple is not responsible for the operation of this device or its compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Please note that the use of this accessory with an Apple product may  aect wireless performance.

Apple, Apple TV, Apple Watch, iPad, iPad Air, iPad Pro, iPhone, and Lightning are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries. tvOS is a trademark of Apple Inc.

4. Your Brand Name.

Your brand name is needed to displayed on the packaging.

5. EAN/UPC Barcode.

The barcode of products needs to be displayed on the packaging.

Above are the necessary content on the packaging, if you do not find that information on a MFI product packaging, it is not meet Apple’s MFI product requirements.
